One of my earliest memories is of picking dandelions for my grandmother’s Sunday dinner table.  With a handful of the cheery, yellow faced flowers, I remember my sister saying “those are weeds!”  It didn’t matter to me; all I could think about is the special place they would have in the center of the meal.  I will always remember the feelings of joy and laughter that those Sunday dinners brought to my family.

Throughout the years, flowers have been a big part of my life.  From the white Rose I carried at my high school graduation, the fragrant Lily of the valley in my Bridal bouquet and the Sweet Pea crown my daughter wore for her baptism, I always made sure beautiful flowers had a presence in all the special moments of my life.

After years of world-wide education, and working some of the most prestigious special event companies in the area, I decided to “jump in to the garden” and thus Carrie Wilcox Floral Design began in 2007.   For the last decade, I have been a small part of my clients big memories.  From Brides to milestone Birthday celebrations, in tents and in barns, I feel my florals have added that special touch.  I hope that my clients will always remember the fragrant peonies or the giant café au lait Dahlias that were in the center of their wedding or the cactus that they still own from that special party.

With a desire to learn more about the floral design world, I traveled to Bruge, Belgium to earn my European Masters Certification.  Eventually, creating my signature look of natural, loose, organic, textural floral design. I want your event to be memorable with flowers that everyone talks about

Outside of the studio, I have been married to my “Mr. Perfect”, John, for over two decades.  I am a Mom to boy/girl twins, a younger son and an adorable chocolate lab named Fudge.  When Im not creating beautiful florals for my clients, flowers take me to incredible places.  I have worked on the First Ladies Luncheon in Washington DC, designed fresh florals for the floats at the Rose Bowl and compete in various competitions throughout New England.

I am grateful to have had my work featured in publications such as, Martha Stewart Weddings, Brides, Real Simple and The Knot and Carats and Cake.
